The unresolved murder of Saki Konishi has resulted in a great deal of anger festering within him, directed at not just the Inaba "TV Killer" but any who would ruin the lives of normal people with supernatural forces. On one hand her memory drives him to become something better than he was, but on the other...isn't this just a little unhealthy?

Yosuke Hanamura is generally known for one of two things: being that friendly, kinda funny guy that you may have seen or heard of in passing, or that perpetually late maniac abusing every haphazard dual-sport motorcycle shortcut near Sumaru University. Recently returned from a trip with his family, Yosuke discovered that his attention-craving Shadow managed to piss off a significant number of people in his absence. Forced to once again swallow some very uncomfortable truths about his inner nature, he has confronted the fact that it's not healthy to ignore the rest of his life for the sake of the Midnight Channel but is still having a tough time hitting his stride. He's rejoined his friends in the Kuzunoha Detective Agency by enrolling in the same college, but has to balance his paranormal sleuthing with cramming to catch up for a late start in the academic year. Yosuke still has no idea what direction his life is taking him in the long term, but on one point he remains firm: no depraved bastard has the right to endanger civilians with paranormal forces. One day the murderer of Saki Konishi will pay...
