<b>Profile:</b> Originally from the small town of Inaba, Masumi Hayashi has finally begun to overcome the effects of a lifetime of verbal abuse and betrayal of trust from family, peers, and community alike, with the unfailing aid of those that have stood with her for the last two, turbulent years. While she remains a quiet and introspective young woman who is slow to trust, Masumi seems to have at long last found the inner strength and peace she was always looking for, allowing her to truly free herself from the judgement and expectations of both family and society -- and in the process, finally achieve a measure of true happiness as she begins to find and pursue what she truly desires in life. Her past has not left her without scars, however. Masumi is often quick to assume people are insulting her, occassionally revealing a surprisingly sharp temper and ability to hold a grudge, and her tendancy to lose herself in her own world for weeks or even months at a time mean that she is not always the most dependable of friends. On the whole a deeply spiritual person, Masumi is captivated by the idea of magic in all of its forms, and remains a passionate student of mysticism and the occult, and an explorer of the world of Personas and Shadows, in her ongoing quest to better understand both herself and the world around her.
