Shizuka Arashino usually wears a polite smile and almost never raises her voice, and her sense of humour is active, if quirky, but there is something behind those eyes that hints at a cold disregard for those around her. The Yasogami High Student Council Treasurer seems, at first glance, to be distantly friendly and highly competent, a fine traditional woman. Those more familiar with her speak of her unexpected side, of teasing and bad jokes; those even more familiar speak of something deeper, straddling the line between harmless and malicious. Shizuka's methods tend to be drastic but direct, without thought for collateral damage or unintended consequences. She means well, but does she mean well for everyone, or only for herself?

Tall, slim, and elegant, with long black hair flowing down to her waist, usually tied in a low ponytail. Clear blue eyes with just the slightest hint of mischief, over a polite but distant smile.
On school days, Shizuka will be wearing her Yasogami High School uniform. For casual clothes, a collared shirt (plus a jacket in colder weather) with a miniskirt or tight jeans. Thigh-high stockings may be included in either case.
