She survived a car crash, entered a persistent vegetative state for over a year, and then awoke and was able to enter Gekkoukan High, graduate, and squeak into Fra Mauro University with a lot of hard work and a scholarship from the Kirijo Group. In truth, though few know it, her body is not originally her own; it houses the mind of a former Kirijo Group experiment named Nagisa Renge. Once resigned to her face of death, love, patience, and friendship brought her to a point where she accepted a desire to live. Now that she has a chance to live out a full life and has, though the awakening of her Persona, accepted that she is who she believes she is, Rem looks forward to the future with curiosity, verve, passion, and wonder, wrapped up in kindness, innocent worldliness, and much more wisdom than a girl her age should have... even if she still struggles with her grades, home life, and society in general. | |

Rem Sakurazuki Hoshii--known legally as Sakura Hoshii--has lived a life both unfortunate and blessed. She survived a car crash, entered a persistent vegetative state for over a year, and then awoke and was able to enter Gekkoukan High, graduate, and squeak into Fra Mauro University with a lot of hard work and a scholarship from the Kirijo Group.
