Benihime Asano is a veritable mystery, depending on with whom one speaks. A young woman who remains utterly secretive of herself, it is unclear just where she comes from and exactly who she is. She is a recent transfer to Seven Sisters High in Sumaru and, as rumor has it, left behind quite the troubled past. What is known, however, is that she is the sole heir to a considerable and vast family fortune. Despite the secrecy she maintains, Benihime appears a relatively well-adjusted young woman and good student to most. However, there are a select, small few who would suggest otherwise, those who speak nothing but venom out of experience. She is a cruel young woman, they say, highly-opinionated and haughty girl who only uses people with lies and manipulation, chewing them up and spitting them out when she's had her fill. But rumors are rumors, and young people are an exaggerated lot, aren't they?

Known as both a fierce warrior and powerful sorceress who hailed from Athens, Carman invaded Ireland with her three sons, known as Dub (black, darkness), Dother (evil) and Dian (violence). Using her black magic, she blighted the fruits out of spite and ravaged the lands in her invasion. Only the Tuatha Dé Danann were able to stop her, driving her sons out of the land and imprisoning her, where she eventually died of longing and loneliness.
