Description: Sayori's features are rounder and softer than those of her sister. She is also much shorter. She tends to wear her hair short and in two mini buns or else down with a headband usually. When her hair is down it is about shoulder length. She is often seen in the Yasogami uniform. However, she has a rather large quantity of clothing so outside of school her attire varies greatly.


Name Meaning
Sayori means Japanese halfbeak.
Kaizumi means ocean-dweller.

Profile and Skills
Sayori Kaizumi lives in Inaba and is a first-year student at Yasogami High School. Outgoing and charismatic, she finds it easy to adjust to new environments. Because of her magnetic personality, she is also very good at making long-lasting friendships. Sayori is also a talented figure skater. Even though she has obvious talent for it she doesn't talk about it that often. Most people are unaware that she has an older sister since they go to different schools. Also they do not share the same last name so it is a pretty common mistake. She has no problem letting people know that they are sisters though as she adores her. Despite being much shorter than her sister Misaki, they still have many similar features. She can often be seen with a Jack Frost Doll that her sister sent her.

History
Sayori grew up in Port Island with her parents and older sister, Misaki. When she was in Junior High her parents split and she went to live with her dad and his mistress (now stepmom). During Golden Week in 2010 she was visiting her mother and sister in Port Island when she ended up in the Dark Hour. Since she had the potential already she did not transmogrify but barely remembered the incident afterward.

The next night she went out again and this time encountered a rather minor shadow. She was terrified but it was through her distress that Leviathan came from within her. Not knowing what to think about it she tried to make her way home. As she did so, Sayori felt like someone was watching her. Aigis emerged and told her that she saw the whole thing. She was rather shocked at Aigis' robotic appearance but they talked about what had just happened. She also gave her the contact information for Mitsuru but Sayori has yet to call her. She has not summoned Leviathan since her awakening.

Leviathan, is a sea monster referred to in the Bible (Job 41 has a detailed description). In Demonology, Leviathan is one of the seven princes of Hell and its gatekeeper. The word has become synonymous with any large sea monster or creature. It is a massive serpent-like creature that dwells deep in the ocean.

Resonance: Anyone sensitive to resonances would find Sayori's resonance is that of power lurking just beneath the surface. Also the feeling of heat radiating from her would be noticeable. For sound, you would hear the sound of the ocean and the crackling of a fire. For smell, it would be the smell of saltwater mixed with smoke like that of a campfire.

Hinata Itoh: Friend! They seem to have a lot in common. Their first meeting consisted of a Dance Dance Revolution challenge and Hinata proved to be a worthy dance opponent. She also invited Sayori to the Lucky 7 where she found out that the Itoh family owns the store. Sleepovers and future dance offs seem to be part of their future.
