- Nanami Kato: "Failing Connection" - A childhood friend of Miwa's. Miwa gave her the nickname Nanachan. She defended and looked after Miwa after her mother's death until Miwa moved to Sumaru. Years have widened the gulf between them.

- Akatsuki Enda: "Loss" - Kyo Enda's brother. He has been horribly scarred by Kyo in more ways that merely physically, much to Miwa's shock. Since he has decided upon a new path in life, she wishes him well.

- XII - The Hanged Man
- Tohya Kidzuki: "Surprises" - A very close friend. Miwa has given her nickname Tohyan. Though Tohya was a delinquent, she and Miwa ended up being friends courtesy of the Mikage-cho incident, which was only solidified by later events. They shared a dorm together for a time, but though they remain good friends, their respective paths are taking them in different directions.

- Naomi Suzuno: "Harmony" - A very close friend. Miwa has given her the nickname Naocchi. The daughter of a wealthy CEO, while Miwa and she share certain traits in common, they're also about as different as night and day. Their friendship, as with Miwa and Tohya, was forged in Mikage-cho and cemented by later events. Though Naomi is younger, Miwa often finds herself turning to her for guidance.
- Dona Kimura: "Intolerance" - A student at Sumaru University. A known witch/occultist. Miwa dislikes her and finds her exceedingly creepy; she also fears that Dona somehow has guessed at her secret. She once cursed Tohya, although that's since been resolved.
- Daiya Kagami: "Discord" - If there is anyone Miwa loathes in this world, it is Daiya Kagami. She has discovered that Daiya is behind the theft of her belongings and the near-death of her father, neither of which she can forgive her for.
- XV - The Devil
- Daisuke Itami: "Change" - A private investigator whom Miwa has turned to before. He presented her with the evidence that Daiya Kagami is behind the theft of her missing belongings.
- XVI - The Tower
- Mai Namikawa: "Self-Bondage" - An extremely practical-minded young woman. She and Miwa thus often come in from opposite ends in their approach to the supernatural, though they're hardly unfriendly towards each other.
- XVII - The Star
- Hideo Aratami: "Worry" - Formerly a student at Sevens. She witnessed him becoming Shadow-Possessed. What happened to him ended up forming much of the reason behind Miwa's resolve to protect Sumaru as a member of the Shinsengumi; if she can help it she never wants that to happen to anyone else.
- XIX - The Sun
- Kyo Enda: "Crushed" - Miwa's former boyfriend and Akatsuki's twin brother. Once Miwa was utterly devoted to him, before she learned what sort of person he really was. The break-up, and his attempts to get back together with her ultimately resulted in him becoming Shadow-Possessed. While her feelings for him remain, their continued existence hasn't been helped by her realization that he ate her Shadow within his dungeon. Time will only tell if she can break away from him emotionally for good.
- Tatsuya Suou: "Trust" - A good friend, though she only realized it far down the line. She feels he's a natural-born leader, and believes in his goal to protect the city. Though she has some difficulty understanding him at times due to his stoic nature, he's been there to support her in the past when she needed it; he's both expressed his concern and given her some surprising advice. More recently, he provided a much-needed shoulder to cry upon.
