| * [[Blaise Cameron]] - ''Reckless Boy'' - 2nd year student of Gekkoukan, met first as his cloaked alter-ego. While originally deemed to be only useful as an information gathering tool and someone she enjoyed messing with, things took a turn for the strange as time went on. While not disliking the boy, she finds his lack of tactical cool and foolish recklessness annoying, and wonders why he so pursues a path Mai considers as far too costly and now that he got what he wanted, dreads if he too will find the cost was high. His attempt to woo her was met with rejection, and he has been seen with other girls playing what she views as the same game since. She had thus concluded that his feelings had been a hollow ploy to simply use her, and the blow did go past her emotional armor. The hatchet has been buried since as they decided mutual friendship is better than unresolved misunderstandings. Not really crossed since that meeting.

| | * [[Blaise Cameron]] - ''Reckless Boy'' - 2nd year student of Gekkoukan, met first as his cloaked alter-ego. II. The High Priestess
|
- Shiori Hibiki - Gentle Soul - A girl encounted first in Inaba' strip mall, Mai's relation toward her WANTS to be good and friendly, but is driven by guilt as Mai seems to be unpleasantly skilled at causing distress or indirect harm even when it wasn't her intention. Mai is thus driven with the desire to make it right someday, even if Shiori may not feel it to be such a big deal. The fact Mai keeps being hurtful to her everytime they meet is something she finds annoying, moreso as she isn't purposely trying to be.
- Maki Sonomura - Divided - An experimental subject for the SEBEC's DVA system, Maki is a tragic case who somehow may actually not see a tragic end, against all odds. Divided into herself and three 'aspects' of her mind, her life seems to be an unpleasant existence of watching 'herself' live through proxies. A victim at times, a powerful bringer of change and creator of a pocket dimension, Mai cannot forgive those who bound a human being to that sort of life. Oddly enough, she feels most kinship toward Aki between the three separated Shadows. The battles and revelations found because of the DVA system have Mai shaken, and she's not entirely sure if she should thank her for it or not. Finds Maki's choice of putting another person in the device questionable, but lacking firsthand experience of the strain the DVA puts on a person' psyche, she can't argue. The choice of person however is not approved. Seems to be doing well since, having found a job, but is still a little difficult to predict and follow at times. Helped save Mai in the Altered Timeline of the Abyss.
- Yuuka Chiba - Little Singer - Acquaintance, 2nd year of Gekkoukan, also believed to have had some interest in Blaise Cameron. Friend of Sayaka Takuma. Lost control in school and dissapeared slightly before the New Year. Her key wish was deemed selfish and necessary to be terminated for a return to the true timeline. Her cooperation was not expected but appreciated. A pacifist girl to a fault versed in healing arts, deemed a threat due to her willingness to use the supernatural to boost her career in a manner deemed careless..

VI. The Lovers
|
- Tohya Kidzuki - Pretty Queen - Person met in Mikage-cho East Side and seen again at the Suzuno Christmas Ball. Original impression was good, seemed like a smart and capable girl, but later learned that she had ties in Takahisa Kandori's KNOWS organisation. Only learned on New Years of her unexpectedly high rank within the organisation, and clashed twice following that. For all her vaunted and claimed intelligence, Mai finds she can be shortsighted and lacking, however her vision is biased by her jealousy. She sees how Tohya is loved and envies her for it to the point it colors her judgement but at the same time sees her protected like a helpless child. Her jealousy has proven to be fermenting into vitriol and their relations are tensed but their prolonged lack of contact has acted like a bit of a cold breeze on a hot ember in that regard, although that fire could be reanimated should unfortunate events occur. Considered to be a complete hypocrite for using the very technology she claimed had to be destroyed as if it was only evil in other people's hands, and hiding it from some of her supposed teammates.
- Rena Kinukasa - Lovely Dragon - A shadow possessed girl that had kidnapped Akatsuki Enda before, her relationship with Mai is a bizarre type of love/hate. There is a disturbing if not outright bizarre feeling of understanding from the rich girl, as if her heart was able to understand just how Mai feels on an instinctive level. Their battles have generally have been a bloody mess, and yet the feeling of hate has always been shortlived and died down during the fight itself.
- Blaise Cameron - Reckless Boy - 2nd year student of Gekkoukan, met first as his cloaked alter-ego. XIV. Temperance
|
- Naomi Suzuno - Cautiously loved friend - Someone who found herself stumbling in the Dark Hour during a visit to Port Island and needed a hand to keep things under control. Mai found herself amused at repeating the cycle of passing on the knowledge necessary to survive the supernatural time, along with advice of not doing anything foolish. Yet Naomi's adaptability and sharp mind is what was found most impressive during the events of Mikage-cho. Also speaks with the same style of formality. The bond of trust toward Naomi has deepened over what was expected to be nothing beyond girl talk and tea, but then Mai's never been one for simple girl talk. Trusted contact and friend. Even after assaulting said friend in the basement of Tartarus due to conflicting objectives between SEES and KNOWS, feels no resentment or anger toward her and the reverse felt true as well. She recently allowed Naomi inside her home, although while her parents were out, mixing catching up and matters of greater emotional complexity regarding Mai's own desires and loneliness compared to the terrifyingly strong yet fragile bond she sees Naomi have with her other friends. Naomi currently holds on to her old favored green ribbon. Knew of Mai's true identity and was instrumental in helping her progress to eventually grieve in a healthier manner, witnessed the events in the Abyss of Time.
- Miwa Saitou - Kind Soul - Older girl from Seven Sisters High, and sudden acquaintance during an expedition into Tartarus organised by Itsuka Mizuhara. They did not get a chance to talk much, but there was a feeling of common ground, of desire to master their inner power. While they are not friends, Miwa earned Mai's trust in battle to be considered a comrade-in-arms. She is also the first person to have ever used healing magic on Mai. Unfortunatly positioned herself between herself and Suzuno, forcing Mai's hand and being on the recieving end of an attack. Made meeting at New Years rather ankward but a conversation later mended bridges somewhat or at least on Mai's end.
- Hitoshi Taniguchi - A Pen-ny for thoughts - Newly moved in SEES recruit of a similar age, Hitoshi Taniguchi is considered alright. She cannot read him in depth but he was neither fool or genius, neither reckless or coward, there was a strange degree of balance to be seen in him. While that doesn't mean they always agree and have had arguments and misunderstandings, ultimatly Mai holds no grudges toward him and finds him a good classmate and decent field asset, even if he nearly ended up becoming a monster snack. Has not crossed her path since the 2nd DVA Incident.
- Dona Kimura - Friend of the Internets - A girl from Sumaru met via information seeking on the Darkside Boards, and then met in person during and after the Second DVA Incident, Dona Kimura is considered to be an interesting girl who has a notable passion for the obscure and the occult. The fact that she is not particularly pretty or attractive made her an easy friend, as Mai felt as an equal with Dona in looks and while their fields of respective knowledge differed, they could talk and trade info pleasantly. They also seem to share a nearly irrational hatred for the Vice-President of Sumaru' Seven Sisters High, Daiya Kagami.
Daiya Kagami - Oops I accidently pushed her in front of a train - One of the few people Mai cannot stand for the life of her, Daiya Kagami is a girl who seems to have it easy. She is (apparently) rich, beautiful to a point it's a shock she's not working as a model (or isn't she?), has psychic powers, has no difficulty in social situations and can wrap men around her finger. Her existence triggers jealousy reaction from Mai and her attitude simply pushes on those buttons further. Mai wants to hurt her, and her reasonable side prays they never meet in an area with no witnesses as her darker side may just explode and lash out.

XVI. The Tower
|
- Takahisa Kandori - Mephistopheles - Known as CEO of SEBEC, and generally a man shrouded in mystery shrouded in secrecy shrouded in a surprisingly good taste in clothing, Mai's encounters with Kandori had not been pleasant, often ending with wounds of the physical or mental sort. Yet the man she finds facinating, as she can't read him like most people. Sometimes his intentions are clear, sometimes it takes her days to figure out what he just did, but she finds him interestingly smart. In nicer circumstances she would love to cross wits with him rather than cross swords. But even in a battle of wits, she feels hopelessly outmatched just trying to keep pace and try to understand what he's saying and on how many layers. She is currently intrigued by him more than scared, but still amply cautious. The fact that he ended in jail is considered strange, and uncharacteristic of his usual shown planning and intellect. His prison stay seems to have been little more than a distraction, as he is back to where he was as anticipated.
- Thora Kobayashi - Bloodied Tower - An acquaintance due to the Misadventures of Shinjiro Aragaki, Thora has so far been an intriguing person. Her admissions of past acts and how open she was about it hinted at a degree of courage Mai found a little awe-inspiring, even if the acts themselves are not. Her strength and how she stood tall and strong (not to mention she's pretty big for a girl) are intimidating, but at the same time only serve to increase how she seems interesting. A chat in Inaba seemed to confirm the two had certain common grounds and led to pleasant discussion, eventually resulting in Mai becoming a client and trusting Thora in making her a new weapon. It's was rather ironic that the first use of it was pointed toward it's maker and her comrades, but Mai believes their days of clashing have ended. While she had suffered from the Videogame Suicide Hypnosis problem, she managed to hold on and even fought the demon herself. While she may not know that much about Thora's past, she views her as a straightforward person about her intents and desires, and thus someone who's very honest about where she stands and who's faces may be hammered in. Is willing to give Mai a second chance at earning her trust, all depending of what Mai does after reclaiming her true name.
- Minagi Shimizu - Baka Minagi - Ex-Avatar of Chariot and ex-Shadow Possessed. Mai met the liberated Minagi in the beginning of fall 2009 and at the time was unsure what to make of her. Not a friend or enemy, but they had a rocky start due to an offhand comment about Blaise Cameron made by Mai. Minagi eventually gained a Persona, does not seem terribly changed by it and it was assumed she already paid the price due to her past. Their personalities cause friction if they get in a heated debate. Mai was least surprised by her opposition to the standing orders of Mitsuru and almost looked forward to be authorised to strike at her even if the opportunity never came. Currently has no idea where she wentlives or what she's doing after being removed from SEES and is not terribly concerned by it. Mai has witnessed via the Abyss of Time how her fate came to be at a young age, and while it was an unfair fate she found herself glad that neither Minagi or anyone else present brought changes to the timeline. Still considered a little bit of a naive girl, but they work together in the Disciplinary Council of Gekkoukan High School and get moderatly along.
