- Masahiko Irie - Masahiko Irie appears to be the only contact in Sumaru that Izo had upon his arrival, after being quite suddenly torn from his life in Tokyo -- and even then it was a month before the two met in person. The teen is his junior in years, but also apparently his peer, and -- more privately -- also his superior; Iriesama has decided that Irie-san is responsible for educating Izo about the sudden, strange turn that his life has taken. Whether that burden will bear fruit or merely prove a nuisance to one or both of them is still probably very much up in the air.
- Naomi Suzuno - If there's anything Izo appreciates in someone else, it's well-informed adherence to logic and an inclination toward the practical. Naomi has all three. Though their contact has been limited, Naomi's taken the time to fill in more than a few blanks, for which the gangster is appreciative. He did slam her into a wall one time, but h
- Mariko Ohmukai (REVERSED) - A bit early to tell, but possibly more than meets the eye -- which is really saying something, actually, because Mariko doesn't dress to leave much to the imagination.
She also bought him food. It helped.
- Thora Kobayashi - She hangs around with Masahiko, but she doesn't like Yakuza, which makes her angle something of a puzzle for Izo. Still, she seems alright. She assaulted him in an alley to see whether or not he was 'worthy.' He lost the fight, which probably means the answer to that question is 'no,' but he didn't ask to find out for sure.
There'll be a next time, though. She can count on it.
- Mai Namikawa - As relations between the Kagutsuchi and SEES continue to erode in spite of efforts to shore them up, Izo's turned to Mai, aware of the teen's position as go-between for the factions, and hoping to contribute in much the same way. Whether or not this alliance will bear useful fruit likely depends on the actions of the strong-minded leaders on either side, even so.
