Kaede Ikeda is a second-year student at Gekkoukan. She suffers from a permanent feeling of not fitting in thanks to her physical appearance (including a large facial birthmark), geekiness, and general social awkwardness; she is a part of no clubs and has few friends, except for online, where she generally lies about herself for even vague acceptance. Resentful of the way she's treated, Kaede is possessed of a strong imagination and prone to flights of revenge-filled fantasy, or simply imagining herself as someone far cooler than she actually is. Having only very recently awakened to the power she has after surviving a Dark Hour awake, Kaede is finally able to take out her frustrations, although so far she has done little more than petty acts of destruction - and most times, she still takes the abuse just as she has before.
