| Being the son of a decorated police officer, Hajime Shidou was destined to follow in his father’s footsteps. He lives in Okina and is a young, but hard-working, detective in the Sumaru Police Department. He is also the father of a very young daughter, Mayumi. Through a tragic series of events, his wife was killed shortly after Mayumi was born and so he was left to raise her alone. After the accident, the family moved to Okina trying to find a way to move on. However, he still feels a tremendous sense of guilt and responsibility for his wife’s death. He is very dedicated to his work but due to the tragedy he tends to let his personal feelings cloud his judgment at times.
