This is the place for useful links in researching for a possible persona, shadow, or whatnot, as well as information on Japanese life, cuisine, or anything else of not. Feel free to add your own links!

Folklore, Mythology, and Urban Legend Research
- Buddhist & Shinto Deities in Japan - While this focuses more on artwork depicting various deities, it's an excellent source for Japanese Buddhism and Shintoism, and the various ways deities are depicted.
- Encyclopedia Mythica - A site devoted to all sorts of myths and folklore from around the world. Some of the more obscure figures are little more than blurbs, but it's a good place to check.
- Godchecker.com - An irreverent take on mythology. Some entries are short, and the site has a tendency of getting overworked, but it's a fun place to look.
- Monstropedia - An encyclopedia devoted to monsters in mythology, folklore, urban legend, and popular fiction.
- The Obakemono Project - A stylish site dedicated to supernatural creatures in Japanese mythology and folklore.
- Wikipedia: List of legendary creatures by type - A sorted list of all sorts of legendary creatures.
Japan Research
- Encyclopedia of Shinto - Covers a variety of topics relating to the Shinto religion.
- Facts and Details: Japan - An introduction to many aspects of Japanese life, from locations to crime to nature to culture. Includes additional resources for further research in each article.
- Information from the National Police Agency - The English side of the official website for Japan's police system. Contains information on law enforcement in Japan.
- Japan Subculture Research Center - A good introduction to some of the darker/grittier sides of Japanese life.
- Japanese Culture Introduction - An introduction to cultural concepts of Japan.
- Japanese Holidays - Information on a bunch of holidays in Japan.
- JET Forum thread - A somewhat long thread that basically tells you anything you'd need to know about how female teachers are expected to dress in Japan. There's probably other good stuff on the forum as well.
- Wikipedia: Education in Japan - Also useful, for the many school-aged characters! Includes information on college years.
- Wikipedia: Public Holidays in Japan - Forget what days are public holidays in Japan? You're not alone! This is a good reference.
- Cooking with Dog An addictive, adorable show showing how many popular and/or traditional Japanese dishes are done. Do not watch if hungry.
Language
- How to Type Japanese on Your Computer - What it says on the tin. It also tells you how to get the encoding for Japanese to work on your browser.
- Jeffrey's Japanese - English Dictionary - Just plain awesome. Has a lot of flexibility for looking up Japanese words and names.
- Kanji Radical Lookup - Useful if you know Japanese; not that useful otherwise.
- Wikipedia: Honorifics - An overview of honorifics plus when and where they are properly used.
Tarot and Jungian Psychology Resources
- A Glossary of Jungian Terminology - Ever wondered about what some of the Jungian terminology flung around in the games means?
- Aeclectic.net - A good overview of the tarot and their symbolism. Also includes symbolism for reversed cards.
- An Introduction to Jung's Shadow - Like it says, an introduction to the Shadow as Jung uses it. Useful for thinking about your character's Shadow, among other things.
- CG Jung Page - More Jungian Psychology than you can shake a stick at.
- The Fool's Journey - Another good overview of the tarot. This link's specifically to the Fool's Journey and the Major Arcana, but the site also has information on the Minor Arcana.
- Persona 1 (PSP) Character Analysis - Useful not only for the character analysis of the Persona 1 cast, but *especially* for the run-down of each Tarot card.

Please add yourself if you like!

Shin Megami Tensei Resources

- Popanime Megaten Wiki - The other notable SMT wiki out there.
- The Heretic Mansion - A browsable list of all the demons from Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne. Since the latter Persona games use many of the same models, it's very useful.
- Persona 2: Eternal Punishment Personas A listing of many of the possible personas from Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Some links don't work, but it's still very comprehensive.
Let's Play Persona! .... And various other takes on the games
- Let's Play Persona 2: Eternal Punishment! - A screenshot LP of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. This is the direct sequel to Persona 2: Innocent Sin, which was never ported over to the US due to various factors such as the terrorists winning, Nazis, your mother, and crying puppies.
- My Life is a Goddamn Mess (Persona 3) - A screenshot LP of Persona 3, done up as if it was the entries of an online journal by a certain main character...
- Let's Play The Answer (Persona 3) - A screenshot LP of The Answer, the additional game included with Persona 3 FES. Where Persona 3 leaves off, this picks up.
