| | The name "Baofu" is half urban legend, half bogeyman. Few know his face, or if he's even a man, their only interactions being through the medium of the internet or coming across a rumor that supposedly originated from him... Those among the ranks of Darkside have a somewhat closer relationship with him, with quite a few having met him in person once or twice. (If you've seen ''Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex'', think of the Laughing Man.) | | | The name "Baofu" is half urban legend, half bogeyman. The fact that he uses this business as a cover for installing his own bugs and backdoors is carefully hidden from everyone involved. | + | Baofu also has a public persona (under the name of Hiroshi Satou)that runs a perfectly legitimate business as a security consultant and bug-hunter, which is where the nickname of Tap Buster originates from. - Maki Sonomura: Baofu is both intrigued and worried by the possibilities that Maki et al represent. However, they seem to have reached majority in his favor for now. Or something close to it.
- Masumi Hayashi: He needs to decide where he's going. You cannot stand at the crossroads and see where every road ends, you have to choose a direction eventually.
- Yukiko Amagi: Delicate and nervous, easily nudged without having to apply undue force.

- Katsuya Suou: So idealistic, so full of fire. So amusing to poke. He could be useful.

- X - THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE
- Chizuru Ishigami: Infuriating woman, but much easier to deal with if you can get her off balance.
- Naoto Shirogane: So very prim and proper. It makes Baofu want to kick over a chair or spill something just out of reflex.

- Enoha Koinose: Interesting. Remarkably stable and quiet for someone of that age with the power. Worth looking into later.

- XVI - THE TOWER
- Himeru Namikawa: A skeptic, but seems a little uninformed about the way parts of the world work. Or maybe just a narrow view. Interesting.
- Takahisa Kandori (Reversed): Known primarily in how he fits into the NWO's power structure. Just as much of a bastard as Sudou, but not as direct a target.
- Thora Kobayashi: Her stake in this may be as personal as Baofu's own, if not moreso. Good. She won't stray.

- Shion Katsuragi: Quiet, thoughtful, didn't seem the sort to let her emotions lead her around. Good for her, but tricky to manipulate for that. Keep an eye on her.
- XX - JUDGMENT
- Kanon Itoh: Helpful, easy to get errands out of because of her attachment to her shop.
