Description
The Hanged Man is a paradox. They win by losing, they gain by letting go. Oftentimes, the Hanged Man carried a heavy burden with them or face a terrible situation that they must accept if they are to grow and progress. The Hanged Man often might feel helpless, suspended between heaven and earth in their efforts to gain some kind of traction or grip on their situation. It can often be difficult for the Hanged Man to come to terms with something in their life, to accept their situation and move on, and until then they will find it difficult to find their way to the future.
Persona Traits
Hanged Man Personae, as befitting of one who is stuck holding onto their burdens, tend to be very sturdy and difficult to harm. Yet, this usually comes at a significant cost of some attribute or another, representing how much they can continue to lose in not letting go. As sacrifice knows no boundaries, however, their attack methods are usually quite varied.
Sample Personae
- Orthrus, a two-headed dog sired by Typhon and Echidna, slain by Hercules
- Vasuki, One of the Great Kings of the nagas
- Attis, god of regrowth and fertility
